Around 30 people took part in this meeting about the history of education in Trumpington. In addition to a series of presentations, there were photographs of schools groups from the Church School and Fawcett School. Speakers:
Howard Slatter: national changes in education provision, 1800 to the present
Shirley Brown: education and schools in Trumpington from the 17th to the 19th centuries, including charity schools and the Church School
Howard Slatter: the history of St Faiths School
Edmund Brookes: a pupil at the Perse Preparatory School
Ken Fletcher: the history of Fawcett School
The contributions have been used as the basis for pages about education and schools in Trumpington.
